MAY 25 :: TOPKAPI

A woman visits Istanbul, where she sees a traveling fair featuring replicas of treasures from the Topkapi Palace. Fascinated by the emerald-encrusted dagger of Sultan Mahmud I, she leaves Turkey and recruits her ex-lover, a Swiss master-criminal to plan a theft of the dagger. They engage a master of all things mechanical, a "Human Fly", a mute acrobat and the burly Hans, who will provide the muscle needed for the job. Based on the novel The Light of Day by Eric Ambler. Music by Manos Hadjidakis. Directed by Jules Dassin (NEVER ON SUNDAY). One of the GREAT caper films!
