The Man from Snowy River

In conjunction with the WESTERN EXHIBIT held in the Gallery of the International Museum Of Art August 3-31, the SUNSET FILM SOCIETY has programmed 2 noteworthy Western movies on August 18th and 25th. A reception will be held on Sunday, August 5th from 2-4pm. 


(20th Century-Fox: 1982) -102 minutes- Color 

An Australian film, based on the epic poem by "Banjo" Paterson of the same name,  features Kirk Douglas in a dual role. A strong-willed young man goes to work for an empire-building cattleman and falls in love with his daughter. Grand old-fashioned Western features beautiful scenery and incredible scenes with wild horses. Music by Bruce Rowland. Directed by George T. Miller (The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter). 

Starring: Kirk Douglas, Sigrid Thornton, Tom Burlinson, Lorraine Bayly and Jack Thompson.
